22“Love Stories: Neat or on the Rocks” a musical play

The musical is set in “HADLEYS”, a fictional bar, with a group of players, each telling a story of an important love experience to “Bartender Emmy Fitzpatrick”, who listens, comments and offers advice based upon her long experience as a “bar psychiatrist of love.” Each story is a separate scene, 14 in total. After telling his/her story, the player sings an original song written by Robert Arleo, sure to make the audience laugh, smile, cry, remember and appreciate any good luck in love.

An opportunity here to audition for a industrial type of training video for medical professionals that will film in Peekskill on December 9th 2025. IT IS A VERY FAST AUDITION PROCESS.

It pays $250 and will be a four hour shoot. They will have the lines all set up on a teleprompter.

The video is going to be used to train medical professionals how to help in situations when patients need to be redirected for safety reasons and out of a concern for their symptoms.  There are many scenarios with different people of all types. THIS is just one of them for the training that we are focusing on right now.

Seeking an actor for the following role:
Shanice (the patient) – 38-52-year-old Black or Latina woman; smoker; full figure; works multiple jobs; single mother under a lot of stress; experiencing atypical cardiac symptoms but wants to leave the ER to take care of her children and get back to her daily life.  The concern that falls upon the nurse caring for this patient is that Shanice's symptoms are that of a heart attack and that she must stay to be sure all tests are taken to rule out something that could be life threatening, even though she "feels" Ok. 
Shanice should be real, intense, but not overdramatic, intent on leaving and authentic. ***There is NO smoking on camera needed for this shoot, the character is a smoker... but the actor doesn't need to be.

Annie Miller: 
Any Ethnicity, 18-25 (Character's age is 21). Annie is an aspiring writer and dreamer who grew up creating stories with her baby sister, Sasha. When the unimaginable happens, and Sasha dies unexpectedly; Annie’s world, and dreams, are immediately shattered. Forced to face her new reality, and struggling with her father’s seeming acceptance of their loss, she turns to drink as her clutch. Driven by desperation, she feels like the only recourse to her grief is to find out exactly what happened to her dearest sister Sasha.  Leading her to a seemingly unlikely connection with her elderly next door neighbor, Bear. LEAD.


Bear Sendrowski:
Any Ethnicity 58-70 (Actually late 60's). Bear is gentle, lonely and ambiguous. While Bear lived the “American dream” by most people’s standards, he always wanted to live a life grander than his own. Always on the cusp of something notable, it always sounded better in his imagination so he would never pursue it. Instead, Bear told tales of fantastical visions about himself that soon became part of his identity. When faced with a terminal illness, he finds one last chance to do something he feels is valiant and finally pursues it. LEAD.

Mark Miller:
Any Ethnicity, 40-50. Mark is the father of Annie and Sasha — a widower quietly drowning in guilt. Though he appears calm and composed, he silently blames himself for Sasha’s death and struggles to support Annie through her grief. Mark finds it unbearable to remain in the family home, where every corner holds a memory he can’t face. Unable to articulate his pain, he makes the difficult decision to sell the house and start over — a quiet attempt to outrun the pain he can’t put into words. SUPPORTING.

Luke Sendrowski: 
Any Ethnicity, 25-40. Luke is a driven, direct, super diligent and no room for error kinda guy. He is invested in his career and makes choices he feels will drive him toward success. Unlike how he sees his father Bear, Luke has made it a point to seek new opportunities and take chances.SUPPORTING

Sasha Miller: 
Any Ethnicity. Seeking over 18 years to play young - Character's age is 14 years old. Sasha lives in a world of highs and lows. She thrives on being the life of the party and equally hides away. She feels everything very deeply the way she sees it. Jason Debore:
Any Ethnicity, 26-30. Jason is a PhD student and teacher's assistant seeking a future job with the University. He is clean cut, intellectual, composed with a quiet and deep nature that makes him slightly mysterious. Jason is naturally empathetic to other people’s feelings, but also guarded with his own. Criteria to be considered:

1. You are free (all day/evening) on August 23rd, 2024 when the shoot will happen.
2. You can get from your home to the shoot location in Poughkeepsie, NY on your own.

4. You are free from tattoos on parts of you that would be shown wearing short sleeves (so basically arms, hands face neck) We love tattoos but they are art and subject to needing a release to be on camera.
5. You are good with the rate $350 for an 8-12 hour shoot.
6. You can provide a suit that fits well for men, and women a nice white gown or dress (somewhat formal... not a slip, not a yucky tank top dress you wear to wash the car during the summer).
7. You are willing to get a manicure the day before the shoot:

Women: french tip/manicure or clear polish on your natural nails. Natural nail looks only. Production will provide a $50 stipend to cover the manicure for those who book the job.
MEN TOO: standard manicure so your hands look great. Production will provide a $25 stipend to cover the manicure for those who book the job.
