Casting feature in Columbia, Ulster, Dutchess Counties

casting for a Feature in Columbia, Ulster and Dutchess Counties, NY

Seeking LOCAL talent (who live in these locations) for speaking roles and background (non-speaking) roles.

SAG-AFTRA Low Budget Agreement ($810 per day for speaking roles and $224/8 hours for background roles).

Filming in AUG/SEPT 2026.

There will be ongoing self-record auditions for speaking roles:

There are many roles from light supporting to dayplayers and all types all genders, all ethnicities!
 We aren't posting the specific roles on social media publicly.

Heidi will reach out to those who fit roles to ask for self-record auditions - there will be postings on regular casting platforms as well if talent are seeking more specific details (we can't be specific on social media platforms as we need to protect the privacy of the project),  keep in mind - we are looking for LOCALS.

Background talent will be chosen by Amy Hutchings and the directorial team.

We are looking for LOCALS to work in Columbia County, Ulster County and Eastern Dutchess County, NY (very close to Dover Plains and CT). There will NOT be travel for these roles.

SPEAKING ROLES FOR YOUNG TEENS and KIDS ALERT
Very eager to find SKATEBOARDING Kids who are actors from 10-17 years old (any gender, any ethnicity).
The actual ages of the characters are 12 and 14 years.  

There is one speaking role specifically for an 8-10 year old girl.

*We are also seeking kids in general for background roles.* 

Preparations for the registration form (gather info):
1. Current Photos (have someone take photos of you for this submission- that is the best way - uncluttered, solo photos of you without- filters, AI, glasses, hats, sunglasses - just YOU, beautiful YOU)!

2. Acting resume - if you don't have one... put a few things on a google doc - tell us about any acting experience.

3. A Photo of a current sag-aftra card if you are in the Union...

5. MINORS and ADULTS are collected on the same form
