FEES for  Roles
$125/role, minimum.  There are circumstances where this is negotiable. There is possible travel compensation if actors are coming from a distance.  We are very interested in attracting submissions of actors LOCAL TO THE ITHACA, NY

To get the audition sides without using a subscription platform, you must: click on the link above in pink and follow the instructions on the form and agree to the confidentiality agreement. Only those who agree may have access to the confidential sides.

AUDITION INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Please record in a clean & clear location. Make sure you are well-lit. Have someone off camera reading the corresponding lines (the reader is giving the lines but it isn't about the reader so they should not overpower). 
2. Please stand for your read and frame it so we see you from the waist up (don't make it too far away or too close up). 
3. Record two takes of your read and present them in the same file one after the other (NO EDITING... be sure you do your read without edits) You will be able to upload on this form OR at this dropbox link:

THE TONE The tone is authentic, nuanced, honest, subtle.

ROLES available:

[SANDY] 26 to 35 years old, all ethnicities, character is portrayed as woman, ANY ETHNICITY looks 26 (present day 1990). Is a young mother, grieving for her mother, 15 years after her
death.  Fullshoot - 4 days. LEAD. Will smoke a cigarette... herbal cigarettes can be provided.

 [CECIL] 30 to 40 years old, ANY ETHNICITY, character is portrayed as Male, looks 35 (present day 1990) WILL ALSO PLAY 20 years old in 1975. Seeking an Actor who
can appear BOTH AGES. **Full head of hair is a plus! Ability to grow a beard/facial hair is also a plus.**  Daily rate is $125. Full shoot - 4 days. LEAD.

[YOUNG SANDY] 9 to 13 years old, character is portrayed as Tween, ANY ETHNICITY girl, looks 11 (Sandy as child in 1975). Cute, precocious, spunky youngest of
two children. Interested in the dealings of the adults around her. She tries to “find things out.” - Important Main part of the action during the flashbacks.
 Rate is $125 per day. 2 filming days. NON-SPEAKING

[SARAH] 35 to 50 years old, character is portrayed as Female, ANY ETHNICITY, looks 35 (Sandy’s mother, 1975). Caring, mothering, secretive, might have had a different life than
the one she has now.  Minimum Rate is $125 per day. 2 Filming days - SUPPORTING

[LEM] 45 to 55 years old, character is portrayed as Male, ANY ETHNICITY, looks 50 (Sarah’s husband, Sandy’s father, 1975). A hard worker and practical provider
for the family. Puts his wife Sarah on a pedestal. Doesn’t see the bad in people.  Minimum rate is $125 per day. 2 filming days. SUPPORTING.

[JEN] 13 to 17 years old, all ethnicities, character is portrayed as 15 years old and female, ANY ETHNICITY. - (Sandy’s sister as child, 1975) - Older sister, trying to be even older. Wears
makeup when she can. Strains against her parents and other conventions. Wants to be left out of any drama. Featured role in Flashbacks. Rate is $125 per day. NON-SPEAKING. 1 filming day. NON-SPEAKING

Storyline: In this evocative drama, new-parents Cecil (35) and Sandy (26) discuss her deceased mother. Sandy receives a box containing her mother’s belongings from
Cecil and learns about her, has flashbacks about the time of her death, and reads letters addressed to Cecil, which prove Cecil and her mother had an affair, her mother
was pregnant, she had an abortion, and then killed herself.
